There are several farmers’ markets in Tokyo. Perhaps the number increases these days as more and more people are keen on healthy living and many people today are interested in organic foods. I wrote about farmers’ markets in Asakusa and Aoyama. This time, I visited another one in Kachidoki, near Tsukiji.

There are small islands in Tokyo Bay area which are surrounded by river branches and canals. One of them is Tsukudajima Island. It used to be a fishermen’s island and people made tsukudani, fish boiled in soy sauce in this island. There were many tsukudani shops in old days but even today, there remain several of them.
A couple of weeks ago, I participated in Bicycle Ride in Tokyo and biked through Tokyo Bay area. There are not so many cars in this area and it’s really good for cycling. And this time, I once again came to Tokyo Bay area and this time, enjoyed walking and shopping.
Today, I participated in a bicycle event “Bicycle Ride in Tokyo”. Starting from Hibiya Park, I enjoyed cycling while seeing bay area Tokyo’s sightseeing spots. It was 28-kilo meter ride. Here is today’s route map.
