Deep Green in Tokyo – Otonashi Riverside Park

I happened to have to visit Oji a couple of weeks ago.  Oji has stations for JR (Keihin Tohoku Line) and Tokyo Metro (Namboku Line).  Just outside of the station is the entrance of Otonashi Riverside Park.  The walking path along the river was covered with thick deep green leaves of trees.

It was as if I were in the suburbs, not in Tokyo.IMG_9215

Address: 2 Ojihoncho 1-chome, Kita-ku, Tokyo

There are steps going up to Hongo Avenue where I found an interesting building.

Looks like apartment houses.  The Otonashi Bridge over the Otonashi River is also worth looking.IMG_9214

Nearby is Oji Shrine which was constructed in early 14th century.  So my next posting will be about this Shrine.
