I visited Roppongi Hills and happened to learn that Ghibli’s Exhibition started yesterday. Lots of drawings, paintings, posters and even newspaper ads. And Catbus, too!
This ship-like plane moves up and down. If you go there in the evening (it opens until 1opm), it will be lit up.
The view from the Ropping Hills is fantastic.
For more information, and if you want to see the atmosphere, please visit rocket news. (I don’t know why Roppongi Hills doesn’t have English site for this exhibition. It’s Japanese only unfortunately. But you can see some of the arts.)
Adress: Mori Tower 52nd Fl. Roppongi Hills, 10-1 Roppongi 6-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo
Term: until Sept. 11 (Sun)
Opening hours: 10am – 10pm (last admission 9:30pm)
Admission Fee: Adults 1,800 yen, College & High School Students 1,200 yen, Children (4 years old – Middle School Students) 600 yen
I read the Japanese website of Roppongi Hills and noticed that the admission fee was reduced at the very last minute. It seems that Mr. Suzuki, the studio producer of Ghibli was concerned that the original fee (2,300 yen) was too expensive. He suggested the staff that it should be the same fee as cinema which was 1,800 yen. Therefore, they changed the fee and discounted 500 yen.
Enjoy, Ghibli fans!
